Operations Improvement Project Leader
This position works as a consultant to hospital and system leadership. The project leader supports departmental activities related to setting the direction and development of the organizational performance improvement plans. Supports leadership in assessing methods to standardize practices across the enterprise to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Identifies business process redesign, labor management, and financial impact opportunities. Supports development of learning programs, methods, and tools to facilitate understanding of financial, statistical, and productivity information. Delivers substantial gains whether working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders or individually on large-scale projects. Effectively works with all levels of organizational hierarchy to include executives and physicians.
Requires a BS, BBA , MS , MBA in Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Work Experience:
* Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience in project management and process improvement in healthcare. Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience in financial analysis and decision support in healthcare. Strong background in data analytic and staffing analysis is required. Demonstrated ability for project management, forecasting, policy review and formation, business systems, financial analysis, business plan writing, and organizational effectiveness. Experience in introducing change in large organizations.
* One - two (1-2) years in financial analysis and/or process improvement
* Knowledge of JCAHO, State, Medicare/ Medicaid, and other external regulatory agencies. Knowledge of decision sciences, cost accounting, finance, benchmark analysis, productivity reporting and delivery of healthcare services. Demonstrated detailed understanding of data and processing of data. Proficient in all MS Office applications; demonstrated advanced functionality of Excel and Access. Skilled usage of Visio, a statistical software package, and a simulation package. Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include advanced presentation skills.
* Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to multitask and meet deliverables. Problem solving skills. Customer service skills.
