Sr. Marketing Analyst
Job Summary
Lands’ End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and home products, is currently looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst in our direct marketing division. Lands’ End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and retail stores. As a Senior Marketing Analyst, you will play a key role in coordinating and completing the analysis, planning, and forecasting for the proper execution of Lands’ End mailing events in support of company objectives. Utilizing your knowledge of catalog advertising parameters and their impact on circulation planning, you will be responsible for the development of catalog mailing plans, including test plans, using appropriate planning methodologies. Additionally, you will track and evaluate results, incorporate historical trends, and interpret results into clear and concise management reporting. The ability to develop strong partnerships with your direct marketing peers, as well as the business will be important to your role.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
A successful candidate must have strong P&L orientation with the ability to measure financial impact of marketing decisions and understand the systems, procedures, tools and methodologies used for contact budgeting, planning and analysis. Candidates should be versed in the drivers of marketing costs and be able to relate the impact of costs on marketing initiatives. Additional requirements of the position include:
• 5+ years marketing analysis or technical experience, preferably in direct or retail marketing
• Bachelors or Masters degree in related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and follow up
• Skilled in the use of PC and mainframe software applications, specifically MS Office and business objects.
• An understanding of SAS, SQL and relational Databases preferred
