Senior Business Analyst - Segmentation
Job Summary
Lands’ End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and home products, is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst in our direct marketing division. Lands’ End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and retail stores. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our segmentation strategy, providing ongoing reporting and analyses that strongly support business recommendations. A critical responsibility will be developing automated and ad-hoc reports and interpreting the analyses to generate insights and recommendations to improve marketing and product segmentation results. You will serve as a key resource to internal Merchandising partners, analyzing customer behavior and helping to answer questions that will drive decisions that bring long-term value to the customer and the business. Critical to your success will be the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with members of the leadership team as well as statisticians and programmers.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Successful candidates will have 5+ years brand analysis, marketing analytics, or related experience with demonstrated ability in the following areas:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in business, quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics), finance, marketing or equivalent work experience
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Critical thinking capabilities with a strong business acumen to guide strategic decisions
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1-3 years project management experience
• Able to multi task, prioritize, and coordinate resources
• Familiarity with database marketing strategies and customer segmentation methodologies
• Advanced SAS and SQL programming experience, or aptitude to learn select functionality with database tools
• Experience with UNIX preferred
• Experience in direct or retail marketing preferred
