Position Duties & Responsibilities (detailed description):
Duties:
The Business Operations Analyst must be proactive, with a strong sense of accountability and a day-to-day focus on bottom-line results. This role requires a strategic and analytical approach to ensuring that products are delivered accurately and on time.
* Manages delivery of online and offline customer correspondence throughout the product lifecycle - development, quality assurance and day to day operational functionality.
* Works closely with technical teams, internal clients and print vendors on day to day tasks.
* Monitors, audits and reconciles customer correspondence processing and delivery. Accurately analyzes, tracks, and reports correspondence delivery metrics using in-house tools, Cognos, and Microsoft Excel.
* Escalates issues related to the creation and processing of customer correspondence, including documenting and opening Serena / SDE tickets for code / bug fixes and research items.
* Implements/supports a robust and comprehensive reconciliation process for invoicing, enrollment and fulfillment.
* Manages activities related to customer billing and program processing, including:
* Ensure accurate and timely processing through program monitoring, auditing and reconciling.
* Design metrics and analytics to identify and solve business problems.
* Report and track performance of programs to senior management.
* Manage internal and external SLA’s.
* Clearly define and document business processes.
* Develops business trend analysis and identifies inefficient/ineffective processes and provides solution options.
* Analyzes costs/benefits of system or process changes to enable the appropriate prioritization of opportunities.
* Defines, documents and articulates business and functional requirements for operations initiatives.
* Drives complex operational issues to resolution.
* Works with cross functional teams to perform root cause analysis of issues and error resolution
* Makes recommendations to drive improvements in operational efficiencies and/or reduce costs of servicing.
* Organizes, plans and controls projects and initiatives and coordinates dependencies.
* Proactively communicates with stakeholders and teams.
* Reliably reports issues, problems and status in a timely manner.
* Maintains knowledge of ECD’s products and internal business operations.
* Proactively works and tracks issues, keeping management informed about critical issues and their resolution.
Qualifications:
3+ years business, operational, financial or data analysis experience with a financial services company or an internet software company, plus 2 years project management experience. Some product management experience also preferred.
* Highly reliable.
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Experienced in using data to generate quantitative and qualitative analysis.
* Self-motivated, resourceful and possessing a high level of initiative.
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Strong organization and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external teams at all levels.
* Ability to succinctly report to management status on key initiatives and/or present recommendations to maximize operational performance and efficiency gains.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
* Operational technology background or the aptitude to research and learn complex technologies and processes.
* Flexible enough to work with different technical skill levels and skill sets.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with managers, employees, external clients/vendors and/or customers.
* Ability to prioritize and respond to frequent demands of multiple customers.
* Ability to work effectively on cross functional teams with multiple, complex priorities
* Ability to work under minimal supervision within tight timelines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
* Prior experience in developing SQL Queries in Microsoft SQL server is a plus.
* 4 year BS or BA degree required.
