Statistical Analyst – with Credit Knowledge
Responsibilities Include:
* Conduct analytics for the Capital Markets business
* Support field sales force and marketing organization by providing analytical and consulting expertise.
* Design, deliver, and provide client consultation as required for analytical engagements, including decision tools and strategy implementation and monitoring,
statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
* Work interactively with a team of highly trained and skilled Consultants, Project Managers, Statisticians, and Analysts.
* Identify and secure additional consulting opportunities with clients.
* Creatively develop and/or integrate products and services to provide unique and effective solutions – many times addressing and solving highly complex problems and difficult business objectives that our clients have
* Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
* Support the senior management of the department to meet the established department goals.
* Participate in internally and externally sponsored speaking engagements.
* Design mathematical models used to produce risk analytics for derivative securities
* Work with the subject matter experts on Capital Markets to match up Experian’s data and analytics to the solutions needed for investors and asset managers in this space
Qualifications
Requirements
* Strong problem solving and communication skills.
* A proven track record for leading project teams, managing complex analytical projects, and setting decision strategies and policies.
* Bachelor’s degree, Advanced degree preferred.
* Deep knowledge of analytical techniques and decision tools.
* Strong aptitude in credit decisioning, strategy setting, and gathering business requirements.
* 5+ years of business experience, preferably in the financial industry / risk management or in statistical modeling / data analysis.
* Proven ability to consult on strategies and recommend best practices related to credit risk management and marketing
* Strong experience in demonstrating consulting capabilities and the skills to consult with senior executives across diverse businesses
* Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
* The ability to present to all levels of management within Experian and to our clients.
* This individual must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at the same time. Strong project management and time management skills are essential
* A “can do” attitude. . .the ability to undertake and lead significant projects with an impatience for results
* A strong customer-focused orientation with attention to quality deliverables, meeting timelines, exceeding client expectations, ensuring positive client experience, and delivering solutions and recommendations that significantly improve and positively impact our clients’ businesses
* A willingness to travel.
* Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Project.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of Experian products/services a plus
