Operations Manager - Global Item Data Quality – 037045
Description
The Global Item Data Quality (IDQ) Operations Manager is responsible for leading the global IDQ Ops team to improve Amazon’s catalog quality and maximize the impact on customers and catalog quality with the resources entrusted to them by the company.
In managing the team, this person is responsible for:
* Developing a vision and direction for customer input into Catalog Quality.
* Measuring and driving continuous improvement to the global IDQ Ops team’s performance
* Providing metrics and visibility into the quality and impact of the team, specifically regarding the GFIX program and data quality improvement projects
* Developing within the team a culture of passion for quality and innovative thinking
* Representing and championing the desires of customers wanting to improve the catalog
* Working cross-functionally to drive improvements to tools and systems impacting catalog quality
* Managing the efficient allocation of workflow to enable staff to meet SLAs and team productivity and accuracy benchmarks
* Identifying and implementing contact reduction techniques
* Identifying process improvements to increase correction efficiency
* Guiding global team data quality improvement project work
* Leading research into high-level data quality problems and escalations
* Effective and impactful management of three Team Technical Leads and twelve IDQ ops Specialists across NA, UK, DE, FR, JP and IN orgs
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong business judgment with a track record of successful management experience within technical operations teams.
* Proven analytical thinking, skills in metrics creation and project management, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts.
* Effective leadership and communication skills and be a flexible, creative, and tenacious problem-solver.
* The ability to drive solutions independently and thrive in a stressful, ambiguous environment is essential for success.
* Minimum 5 year of relevant supervisory experience required.
* Bachelor’s degree required.
