Technical Inventory Analyst, Books – 036805
Amazon.com seeks a Technical Inventory Analyst for our US Books Operations Excellence team. The person in this position will focus on inventory disposition execution and processes for all of US Books. He or she will be responsible for working with technical teams to ensure that all related tools and technology is efficiently leveraged while taking the lead in defining and ensuring that any necessary changes to systems are implemented in a timely fashion. In addition they will be responsible for defining and implementing audit processes for operational execution, defect reduction and systematic monitoring and continuous improvement. The analyst will also work with a Program Manager and Books Senior Leaders to scope and prioritize future projects.
Qualifications
* Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with proven experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous improvements based on that information
* Excellent written and spoken communication with the ability to present information in a professional and mature manner to all levels
* Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to Multi-task and independently prioritize
* Experience working in a Buying and or Supply Chain Organization, especially with Operational Excellence focus, is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline (e.g. Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, and Informatics), MBA is a plus
* 3-5 years working in similar field
