Senior Manager, Reporting and Forecasting – 006392
Description
Experian Consumer Direct is seeking a strong Senior Manager of Reporting & Forecasting to lead our financial reporting, planning and forecasting processes. The successful candidate will provide improved visibility, utility and impact from reporting of financial and operational metrics. Individual will be interacting with all levels with the organization, including the senior leadership, and will be leading initiatives critical to the strategic direction and organizational behaviors of the company. This is a hands-on analytical role in a fast-paced environment. This person will report to the Senior Director, Finance in Irvine, California.
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:
* Provide consolidated analysis and information to Leadership Team, along with executive summaries, recommendations and conclusions.
* Prepare month end closing financial statements and manage reporting by product and line of business.
* Present monthly financial summaries of key business indicators and pertinent financial highlights to benchmark progress against strategic business plans and quarterly forecasts.
* Identify and distribute monthly KPI’s, metrics and other scorecard results.
* Manage the current bi-weekly forecasting process.
* Coordination of all corporate data requests across the segment —including but not limited to budgets, forecasts, strategic plans, quarterly trading updates, and other ad-hoc analysis / requests.
* Measure progress against budget or other targets, including updated forecasts.
* Prepare internal management reports and comprehensive analysis of financial and statistical results to support senior management.
* Manage the development of the annual budget and ensure coordination across department and alignment with overall business plan.
* Lead reporting process improvement initiatives and explores opportunities to improve functionality and automation of reporting platforms.
* Create and deliver formal presentations for senior team members and key stakeholders.
* Support G&A allocation and productivity analysis and capital expenditure evaluation, processing and tracking.
* Conduct and document complex financial and business related analysis.
Position will have at least 1 direct report.
Qualifications
* Applicants must meet the following requirements:
* BS/BA in accounting or finance. MBA, CPA, or relevant Masters Degree preferred.
* 7+ years of progressive experience in a high level financial reporting and analysis position.
* Hands-on experience managing the Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Budgeting processes.
* Experience within an internet and/or membership environment preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of excel required and working knowledge of Access preferred.
* Experience working with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase and Cognos highly valued.
* Demonstrated organization skills in a change-oriented environment.
* Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end to end.
* Experience in business modeling and scenario analysis preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize deadlines.
* Strong communications skills to clearly represent key issues and recommended actions.
* Strong background in financial analysis and financial modeling.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
* Compelling communication and influencing skills and participation in winning the support of senior management and influence the course of major strategic decisions.
* Analytical thinker, flexible problem solver and team player with ability to multi-task several conflicting priorities simultaneously.
* Must be an individual with high integrity and strong work ethic.
