Hiring Manager Title: Quality Supply Manager, North America
Job Description: This position will manage the supply of a given set of corn hybrids and allocate to North America Sales Markets with guidance from Supply Chain. Create process orders for conditioning, treating and packaging of seed at locations. Monitor and maintain data relating to seed quality and supply in SAP R/3 system. Analyze corn quality supply issues. Help review and maintain ISO9000 processes. Assist with customer concerns for the corn product line.
Duties/Responsibilities: Evaluate corn seed quality for suitability for seed treatments. Review sales and treatment projections from Supply Chain to determine appropriate batches to use for different treatment and package needs. Analyze existing supply and possible future needs by treatment and make contingency plans for meeting demand. Allocate supply to Markets in R3/Demand Planning and maintain supply in balance. Create process orders for conditioning, treating and packaging of seed at locations. Convey deadlines for work to locations. Provide guidance to locations on data integrity regarding supply in R/3. Develop processes to monitor inventory accuracy. Plan and make instructions for supply needs for PAT, PKP, and RSG needs. Collect and analyze seed treatment recovery test results and manage any supply impacts of those tests. Assist Direct Materials Coordinator with seed bag needs analysis.
Educational Qualifications Desired: Bachelors degree in Ag related field or equivalent amount of education and experience.
Competencies and Experience Desired: Knowledge of agriculture and seed production. 2-3 years of Ag related experience.
Working knowledge of Access, Excel, SAP R/3. Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, data analysis and statistical tools.
Have the ability to work with team members, location personnel, and internal business contacts. Must be able to work within a multitask environment. Good written and spoken communication skills. Ability to provide training for proper use of systems.
