Required degrees: Bachelors Degree
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
skills.
- Results oriented with track record of sustained high
performance.
- Proficiency with personal computers and software
programs to include spreadsheets, presentations and data
base programs.
- 6 months experience working in GSK, Clfton OE department.
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of GSK OE Expert Training (Lean/Sixsigma) or
related work experience which may include co-op or
internship in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or
Business Operations) or equivalent Lean Sigma (TPS)
methodology training.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing
principles.
- Project and change management expertise.
- Leadership skills to introduce new processes and ways of
working to the organization.
- Prior experience of imparting Lean Sigma Training is
preferred.
- Black Belt Certification is preferred.
Details:
- Manage and/or coordinate the implementation of business
process improvements in support of business targets.
- Improve site performance by utilizing Lean Sigma to
acheive business goals and targets.
- Work with shop floor teams to deliver transporation.
- Support the Site Champion in developing strategy for
improvement opportunities and identifying improvement
projects.
- Deploy Lean tools like 5S, standard work, flow solutions in
factory to achieve business benefit.
- Transfer OE tools, techniques, knowledge and skills to site
associates.
- Identify and resolve performance improvement project
issues and risks that impede progress.
- Create detailed plans listing prioritized utilization of
resources.
- Network with other GSK OE staff to exchange and
implement learning and good practice.
- Manage cross-functional project teams.
- Extensive knowledge of at least one area of the business
with general knowledge in multiple areas.
- Experience in change management and organizational
redesign.
- Networking skills to establish wide range of contacts.
- Analytical problem solving skills, including statistical data
analysis.
- Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization to
achieve results.
- Ability to coach, teach and mentor in the areas of lean
manufacturing and process improvements.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience and skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to create detailed
plans and monitor progress against plans.
- Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
- Flexibility to work extended hours to achieve results (on
shop floor).
- Ability to operate in a team based environment.
- Understanding of financial models used to support
decisions.
- Understanding of financial business drivers to support
project selection.
