Basic qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related area, or combination of equivalent education/work related experience
• Pharmaceutical or allied industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the Phase I – IV clinical development process
• Solid analytical background with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and interrelate various financial activities
• Strong interpersonal networking skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of people across multi-disciplinary, cross- functional boundaries within GSK
• Experience with influencing, analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated ability with respect to time management
Preferred qualifications:
• Knowledge and understanding of procedures, assessments, questionnaires and other costs that are required by clinical study protocols
• Experience with the development of clinical investigator grant budgets and investigator payments
• Highly efficient in Excel with demonstrated ability to
o Handle and analyze efficiently large amounts of data in Excel
o Develop complex macros
o Develop pivot tables, charts, and complicated formulas/functions
• Ability to analyze data via other analytical tools such as BusinessObjects
• Demonstrated understanding of eTrack and other GSK systems
• Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication; able to effectively express ideas, incorporate feedback into deliverables to generate a completed quality output
• Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, across many disciplines both internally and externally and undertake conflict resolution in a professional manner
• Ability to communicate timely and effectively with all team members so as to ensure a quality, consistent deliverable to all customers
Details:
Generate accurate, timely benchmarking reports and Subject Visit Template requirements for GSK protocols while working effectively with other GSK groups such as the study team, contract negotiators, eTrack specialists, Clinical Payment Group, RAMOS team, and other teams, as required.
Develop and maintain productive, professional relationships with appropriate individuals within LOCs In order to assist with achievement of the global objectives of the investigator grant initiatives for GSK.
Perform analyses on data, as needed, using Excel, Business Objects, and/or other analytical tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop professional working relationship with LOCs/study teams to assist with implementation of investigator grant initiatives, ensure understanding of benchmark data, and discuss analyses of country agreed site budget data
• Deliver robust Investigator benchmarking data (e.g., Industry Cost Report, Visit Cost Report, SVT Cost Report, Country Budget Template, etc) for all study phases, all countries, as requested, within agreed timelines
• Collaborate closely with study team, contracting groups, Finance, and RAMOS to ensure accurate payment of investigator sites based on grant budget
• Maximize cost savings opportunities for GSK
• Generate analyses on clinical financial, benchmark, and study data, as required
• Participate in creating and delivering solutions for simplifying work practices to increase productivity and reduce waste
• Deliver productive relationships with all stakeholders in order to add value to GSK clinical trials
• Develop accurate CRO budget estimates for outsourced activities
• Ensure compliance with GSK policies and procedures relating to Finance and good business practice.
• Ongoing coaching and mentoring of junior staff and clients
• Proactively identify and facilitate resolution of all business and legal issues
• Follow all applicable GSK SOP, HCP, ICH and regulatory guidelines
• Timely and accurate updating of all department databases.
