Position: Analyst/Senior Analyst - Forecasting
Salary: $75K - $100K + 10% - 15% Annual Bonus + Incentives
Location: New Jersey
Relocation: Yes, full package as needed
Job Summary:
Primary responsibility to assist in the product forecasting, data collection, market research design and implementation, and sales data analysis to help in the formulation of strategies for the company brands.
Position Requirements:
· Provides insight into market research data, translates research objectives into practice and communicates actionable recommendations to the brand team.
· Loads Prescriber-level data from various data sources into an Oracle data warehouse; designs, executes and maintains complex queries and custom reports in SQL using prescriber prescription data and representative call and sample activity.
· Manages the Sales Force Mapping application, i.e., minor territory re-alignments, plotting of regions, working with outside consultants on major territory alignments.
· Assists IT in evaluating and developing a business intelligence tool to report third-party data and insights to enhance sale force effectiveness.
· Supports Marketing Team in evaluation of potential in-line marketed products.
· Analyzes primary and secondary data and incorporates into forecasts.
· Tracks, analyzes, and provides reports on the effectiveness of sales and marketing programs.
· Assists in developing product forecasts and maintains forecast models on current products.
· Insight into competitive intelligence information on industry.
Qualifications:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Macros, If Statements, Formulas), Access and PowerPoint.
· Strong analytics experience with knowledge of IMS data, statistical data software (SPSS and/or SAS); Forecast Pro or other forecasting programs is desired. Some familiarity with software development tools, including PL/SQL a plus.
· Expertise with MS Windows operating system, working with MS Access and advanced Excel(Pivot tables, Vlookup, Macros, If Statements, Formulas) helpful.
· Experience writing reports with an Enterprise Reporting Tool (Cognos/Crystal Reports) a plus.
· Working knowledge of physician data concepts (e.g. Rxs, patient visits) and how data collection techniques can be used to obtain knowledge within the area is essential.
· Demonstrated proficiency in identifying or modifying techniques for collection of pharma/ professional/payer information and how to apply data/consumer measurement concepts to increase validity and usefulness of data collected.
Education:
B.S. degree; MBA or Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Statistics, Science or other healthcare relevant disciplines.
